On June 10, the mentor team from Zhejiang A&F University visited Hangzhou Fengle Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. to discuss collaborative development between the university and enterprise and explore the implementation plans for industry-university-research integration projects. Energy recovery technology is still a newly emerging field in industries such as smart door locks. Although it is currently in an early stage of development, it contains enormous growth potential. Many domestic and overseas door lock brands have already recognized the opportunities and begun exploring technology applications: some brands have installed micro generators inside door locks to convert the mechanical energy generated during opening and closing into electrical energy, continuously supplying power to electronic components; other brands have adopted piezoelectric materials to transform the small kinetic energy generated by button presses into electricity, reducing battery consumption.
Compared with various energy-saving solutions available on the market, Fengle’s independently developed energy recovery control system stands out as a strong technical solution in the industry, with a stable recovery efficiency maintained between 40%-47%, filling an international gap in this technology field. However, this technology has not yet entered the consumer smart door lock market on a large scale, and consumers have limited awareness of it. In addition, smart door locks equipped with this technology may be priced higher than traditional products of the same category, causing consumers to adopt a wait-and-see attitude.
This university-enterprise discussion marks the first step in establishing an innovation model of “enterprises proposing problems, students and teachers solving problems.” How can innovative achievements that are “hidden away” be transformed into practical applications?
